French website Nowhereelse.com reported that it had an iPhone that overheated, and left discoloration marks down the back of the unit.
A couple of others – including a blogger and PC World writer – also have said that their units have overheated after prolonged use. In one case, it was when the users had been playing games on it for some time, while in the other it was when a GPS function had been used for a time.
According to some users on the Apple forums, there have been other cases, but Apple itself has yet to talk about the problem, or even acknowledge there is one.
There has been no reported problems with iPhones in Australia when this story was filed, and we have yet to hear back from Apple about any problems.
